Project Background

To further implement the important directives of the Ministry of Transport and the provincial Party Committee and government on the development of “Four-Good Rural Roads,” the Rural Road Administration of the Shennongjia Forestry District has submitted a request to launch the construction of an information platform for “Four-Good Rural Roads,” thereby advancing the initiative in the forestry district, accelerating efforts to enhance the quality and efficiency of rural roads, promote their scientific development, and serve as a vanguard in building a moderately prosperous society in all respects.

Solution

• Focusing on key priorities for the high-quality development of “Four-Good Rural Roads,” and deepening reforms of the management and maintenance system as well as the establishment of an evaluation mechanism, it is necessary to further advance the informatization of road management and maintenance. This entails building a comprehensive information platform for “Four-Good Rural Roads” in the Shennongjia Forestry District—integrated across construction, management, maintenance, and operations—based on a unified platform and standardized data, thereby driving the digital and intelligent upgrading of rural road maintenance and management.

• By developing software modules such as the “Four‑Good Rural Roads Information Platform,” the “Road Chief System Management System,” and the “Maintenance Management System,” along with handheld mobile maintenance terminals, we have achieved information‑based management of rural road construction, administration, maintenance, and operations. This has further streamlined rural road management processes and enhanced the quality of rural road services.
