Product Description
A release film is a thin film whose surface exhibits distinct release properties; when brought into contact with a specific material under limited conditions, it either remains non‑adhesive or exhibits only slight adhesion.
Release film, also known as peel-off film, isolation film, separation film, adhesive‑blocking film, release liner, thin film, plastic film, hole‑masking film, silicone‑oil film, silicone‑oil paper, anti‑adhesion film, molding paper, slip‑resistant film, Tana paper, release paper, silicon film, release film, release, or nonwoven film.
Typically, to enhance the release performance of plastic films, they are subjected to plasma treatment, fluorine coating, or application of a silicone release agent onto the surface of film substrates such as PET, PE, OPP, and others. This ensures that the film exhibits an extremely light yet stable release force when in contact with various organic pressure-sensitive adhesives, including hot-melt adhesives, acrylic adhesives, and rubber-based pressure-sensitive adhesives. Depending on the required release force of the specific release liner, the adhesive strength of the underlying adhesive layer is adjusted accordingly, enabling an exceptionally gentle and consistent release during peel-off.
