Party Building Highlights

Uphold the great spirit and inspire enthusiasm for striving.

Great practice gives rise to a great spirit, and that great spirit, in turn, propels great undertakings. Not long ago, General Secretary Xi Jinping emphasized at the symposium on advancing the all-round revitalization of Northeast China in the new era that we must vigorously carry forward the spirit of the Northeast Anti-Japanese United Army, the Daqing Spirit (the Iron Man Spirit), and the Beidahuang Spirit, guiding Party members and cadres to cultivate a correct view of political achievements and to ignite their enthusiasm for work and entrepreneurship. He also stressed the need to firmly grasp the Northeast’s vital mission in safeguarding the nation’s “five major securities.” In this new era and on this new journey, to ensure national security, we must inherit the red gene and carry forward the red lineage, drawing from the spirit of the Northeast Anti-Japanese United Army, the Daqing Spirit (the Iron Man Spirit), and the Beidahuang Spirit the inspiring strength to forge ahead in our endeavors.

Thoroughly study and implement Xi Jinping’s Thought on Culture.

Chen Xi pointed out that Xi Jinping’s Thought on Culture is a theoretical synthesis of the Party’s practical experience in leading cultural development in the new era; it has enriched and advanced Marxist cultural theory, forming the cultural dimension of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. This thought provides a powerful ideological tool and a scientific guide for carrying out publicity, ideological, and cultural work in the new era and on the new journey, and for shouldering the new cultural mission. It also contributes Chinese wisdom to forging a new form of human civilization and to guiding the development and progress of world civilizations. Leading cadres must, from the political standpoint of deeply understanding the decisive significance of the “two establishments” and resolutely upholding the “two safeguards,” comprehensively and systematically deepen their study of the rich connotations and practical requirements of this important thought, and uphold the principle of cultivating oneself through culture and nourishing the heart with virtue. They must translate the fruits of their learning into concrete achievements, earnestly implement the CPC Central Committee’s decisions and arrangements on cultural development, and strive to demonstrate fresh momentum and make new contributions in the endeavor to build a strong socialist culture and to forge a modern civilization of the Chinese nation.
